I used to enjoy going to Kyoto with my family, but after last night's experience, I will NOT go there again until they change the forced gratuity of 20% on every single bill. I understand doing that with large groups over 10 people, but in my case, it was my kids on one bill, my husband and myself on one bill, and my niece on one bill. 20% forced gratuity on 3 separate bills I would say Kyoto is making tons of money off of their customers!! And there is still a spot on your receipt to leave an additional tip, are you kidding? Our service was good, but don't forced gratuity on small groups,, 2 people or an individual. Ridiculous!! It is up to the customers to decide on tip amount!! And on top...
There was 2 of us dining...we ordered and all the food was put on one platter. I was missing a sweet potato roll so I asked our server why my other roll was put on my friends plate and the response was that's how they do it. I asked again about my sweet potato roll...it took them 16 minutes to get it to me. I then asked the server to put in an order for another one as it took so long for the first. I waited 18 minutes and told the server to forget it and we left...we were really disappointed!
My daughter took me out for my birthday lunch. This was my first time at Kyoto’s. We had the all you can eat option. The food was well prepared and presented. We tried some of several types of food on the menu. I was surprised at the bang for my buck. Highly recommended. The Snow mountain roll and the tempura squid were very tasty. I enjoyed the BBQ ell fried rice as well.
I’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed. The service is amazing no matter when you go and the food is always delicious. If you go for dinner on a weekend expect a wait to be seated and longer wait times when you order, but overall everything comes out fast and perfect. Prices are going up but I think it’s still worth it to do ayce if you’re hungry!

Very accommodating to guests!! We came in 30 minutes prior to closing (I thought they closed at 11pm because i read the hours wrong) however, they still took us in and let us stay after hours. Our server was My and she was so sweet! Prices are reasonable as well, the bill turned out to be less than I expected. I definitely recommend!
The servers are super efficient and kind, it was an amazing dining experience. It was also busy so props to them for keeping everything organized and efficient. I like the lighting and all of the decorations as well, the sushi was good too even though how rushed they were.
Recommend to everyone. My family love coming here every month, it’s close by my house. Their sashimi so fresh, the sexy roll, butterfly roll, tempura roll, beef teriyaki highly recommends… The staff is so nice and friendly, the price is reasonable
The sushi here is off the carts. We arrived and only had a 15 min wait, which was great. We ordered several rolls, and they were brought pretty fast. Overall taste was excellent! Will be coming back soon.

I recently gave the restaurant a 1 star review due to a waiter. I did takeout tonight and had a fantastic experience with good sushi. Very happy. Thank you. I'm changing my rating for your restaurant.
Kevin the manager said I couldn't order more food because I was wasting excessively with the 4 small piles of rice. I have come here 2x a month since it opened and have never had issues.
