Eating on a budget in Melilla does not involve Haute Cuisine! Beating in mind the four main cultural influences here the food should be world class, but this is a garrison town with lots of refugees. It is only when you go high class you get good food except there are a few places that serve unambitious food cooked well and La Andaluza is one. The restaurant is modern and clean, the staff are smart and trained. The menu is varied, and the food is served promptly but is freshly cooked. The price for two sharing a salad as a starter and a main course each with two rounds of drinks was just €35. Why it is good I'm not sure. Tapas bar restaurant at entrance to pedestrian square in Melilla. Lovely large terrace with lots of shade. Excellent range of tapas and more substantial meals. White rueda wine hit the spot at lunchtime with tapas of chicken with roquefort and deep fried n battered prawns- pollo con roquefort y gambas rebozadas. Cooked to perfection and so flavoursome. The pincho moruno was also lovely- chicken skewer with Moroccan marinade. Service was friendly tho a little slow- tapas style dishes should not take 20 minutes to prepare when there are only 10 customers and only 5 eating ! But they were delicious!

Lovely little tapas bar and restaurant on square with lots of outdoor seating. Visited on a busy sunny sunday lunchtime amd staff dud very well to keep up with all orders. Fried fish raciones was excellent- very fresh and reasonably priced. Sangria was lovely and refreshing.

Cobraron precios distintos a lo que indican en la carta. Incluyeron bebidas que no habíamos pedido y no sirvieron tapas con las bebidas, pero si las cobraron.
