We wandered in off the street as a group of 6 at around 7.30pm. we were told the only table for 6 that was free was reserved for 9pm, but we could have it until then. As we had small children with us, we thought that was fine. The Italian/Mexican menu had food for everyone and the service was friendly and we were able to communicate in a mixture of French and English. The location was very atmospheric as there were many market stalls set up in the square selling products by local artists, a musician and many families enjoying the social space. The food was tasty, both the pasta and the Mexican dishes, and when it came time to order desserts, we reminded them that the table was wanted for 9pm...
This was our second visit to La Bamba and this time we decided to have takeaway Burritos one chicken and one beef. Both were filled generously and since we ordered them extra hot, included a decent amount of jalapenos. With hindsight the 10 minute journey home made the burritos a little sloppy and maybe we should have eaten them fresh on the premises. We had extra portions of sour cream, jalapenos and together with a glass of Rose each while we waited, the bill came to 40 euros which we thought was a bit steep for a takeaway considering that the wine was only 2.50 euros each.
We hiked over the camagne from La Franqui, and arraived at Leucate at aroung 1.30pm and found this little restaurant by accident. As veggie-vegans we love Mexican food. My husband and daughter had the veggie barrito, and I was able pick from the sides a delicious vegan tortilla with guacamole, home made salsa and beans. Lovely little place. Hope to go back again, although a little on the expensive side.
We were looking for a nice little restaurant to finish our day, and we were not disappointed! Even if the wind was from the part on the terrace, the restaurant lent pups to women and everyone found his happiness between Mexican and Italian dishes. a real treat!! and to finish an excellent home dessert!! very happy, we recommend without hesitation!!!

We came to this restaurant because friends had recommended it to us. We were not disappointed, the dishes are very good (fajitas and burritos), the original Mexican beers and the very correct note. you can see the cook working in the stoves and the setting of leucate village is very pleasant. we'll be back
Despite a very busy evening for La Bamba service was excellent, the combination of Italian or Mexican dishes might sound odd but we plumped for Mexican and the food was clearly freshly prepared and tasty. Very popular with locals which is a good sign too! Excellent value as well.
After the closserie that was unfortunately unopened this year, this season is the best restaurant. ♪ with a lot of winds a little hard to eat outside That's why after a surf day, we're still going to eat a burger in the cowboy. They're just great!
We got a take away here as all the restaurants were full. The burritos were awful, as were the nachos. The inside of the restaurant didn't look all that clean. To be avoided.
