Very traditional Mexican and Latino affair... Saxon Latino cuisine of authentic Latin America. Homemade Mexican and Latin favorites from Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Honduras, Peru, Guatemala and Venezuela everything from burritos, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, salads and various Carne, Bistec, Carnitas, Pollo and Chorizo plates and Tu Pais combinations. Again all very authentic and very traditional dishes. We had their chorizo and carnitas Tortas and they were both huge, moderately priced and very fresh. Fresh baked and toasted buns and a very traditional spread of mayo and chipotle peppers and thinly sliced tomatoes and avocados which made them both very homemade Tortas Mexicana T...

I 've eaten here for lunch on four occasions now over the past year or so. Service had been adequate C+ the first three times, but during the latest visit it was a solid D , very poor long wait, not especially friendly ... and the place wasn 't crowded at all. The food also has proved to be average to below average, as compared to other Mexican restaurants in the Black Mountain Swannanoa East Asheville area. As far as the atmosphere goes, it 's basically a hole in the wall, but the seats and booths were comfortable and the wall mounted TV was showing football or soccer. There are certainly better choices if you 're looking for tasty, well prepared Mexican fare in the area.

I used to love this restaurant the first time I dined here, but over the past year, the quality has significantly declined. The tamales have become small, hard rocks and the ACP dish, a classic, was disappointing with overcooked rice and rubbery chicken. The only redeeming quality is the friendly servers. I hope the owner steps in to address the issues with the food quality.

If you don't like the food at La Bamba you should probably stick with Taco Bell. We are new transplants from Los Angeles, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the MEXICAN food at La Bamaba. If you are looking for American Mexican food you are at the wrong restaurant, but if you want to experience good, authentic Mexican food, look no further. Book a table now

The food at this restaurant was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. I ordered the fajita quesadilla and my husband had a burrito with everything in it. We would definitely return to this restaurant again.

I just ordered takeout from this place and requested no pico. I can't stand the flavor of onions and my burrito is overflowing with pico.

They were not open. The posted hours were incorrect or somebody didn’t show up for work. Who knows.
