We stumbled upon this restaurant when exiting the main road between Girona and Banyoles. It is a bit hidden in the corner of the exit, and looks like a normal villa with only modest indications it is actually a restaurant. Once parked behind the villa, we walked in to find a series of dining rooms with modern interiors and some nice modern art on the walls. Given that we were early for lunch nor spoke Catalan, we received full attention from the female owner who also is the cook. The owner teaches at the local hotel school and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the dishes on the menu. Extremely high quality. Veal cheeks, lamb in 3 textures, dove risotto and a desert looking like a flower pot full of earth but is actually all edible. Very extensive wine list, the owner likes to play a game whereby he serves the wine in a decanter and makes you guess what it is. Quite expensive.

A very pleasant surprise for a quick dinner for two. The place is an old country restaurant now moving into more adventurous and imaginative. A very knowledgeable sommelier and a very reasonable price make this a well-worth experience.
