Travelling to St Omer for a short break with my husband.. Emailed my reservation and reply was promptly confirmed. The table was ours for the evening. Table for us by the window. Very comfortable with fresh rose and sparkling clean glasses and cutlery. We both started with foie gras which was delicious and the fresh juniper berries added to the flavour.I had the duck and my husband the beef. Both served with green beans and a separate pot of potatoes dauphinois.Again very well presented and delicious.Highly recommend dessert and I had the chocolate fondant ... spectacular flavour.Very good carafe of house rose.. couldn't fault the meal and service.Kate is a delight. Will most certainly return...

We had not booked but arrived just after their opening time(Not everyone likes to eat late)and were gladdened to hear that we could in fact have a table. We were served with courtesy and no surprise when we ordered only a main course. The lady spoke perfect English but encouraged our poor efforts at French. The ambiance was a perfect mix between old fashioned and modern. It was certainly a wonderful meal beautifully presented and most definitely value for money. (I think that opening at that time is often welcome for we more mature travellers)

At the end of a full day of events in St Omer this was " the icing in the cake" I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. There is a concise menu and all of our dishes were cooked to perfection. The best meal we have had in France for many years and at a very reasonable price. We are just gutted that we cannot return this next week ( as they are closed on Monday and Tuesday) so it will be next year before we WILL return.

the frame: beautiful times, of course, with comfort, calm and bilingual service idoine. The dishes: fine egle medallion with the steroids may be a hair too spicy. Dessert: cream burned: perfect. one of the best ever tasted.Warning to use supplements in the menu.
