La Bonne Auberge - Table reservation

This was our first visit to La Bonne Auberge and agree with so many of the previous Tripadvisor reviews. The food was of the best home cooked with a very tasty beef goulash (stew not soup as the plat du jour. The confit duck was delicious as were the chips. The restaurant was busy with a mixture of locals including a largish walking party. Probably would have had a table for us having turned up on spec but to be sure suggest booking. (We were there on a Wednesday in October. Restaurant is open at lunchtimes only Monday to Friday. The owner was friendly and ran the front of house efficiently and single handed. Very good traditional cuisine Price quality, very good. Efficient service in a very good state of mind. A lot of humor emerges in this place. Timing in the service respected. The stop is nice if you are in the area.

Very good reception! good value for money; the price corresponds to the dish served. I took a flat formula at 13 € without counting the drinks. very convenient to eat and go around.

This restaurant is open for lunch only and caters to workmen on the weekdays. There is always a good solid menu of simple food. On Sundays, the locals patronize this popular place.
