La Boulaye - Table reservation

It’s a few days since we had our second dinner at La Boulaye in three nights and we are all still fondly remembering the dinner experiences. We were recommended to try this restaurant from our hosts where we were staying. On both nights our experience...was excellent. We had a nice table outside on the verandah overlooking the garden and the Cher river. The staff were helpful and friendly and made us feel very very welcome and at home right from the start. We were staying 4 nights in a VRBO villa in nearby Blere; I had read about this restaurant and decided to have a dinner there. To my surprise, our hostess in Blere recommended this restaurant highly, and made our reservation. And to our delight, she...and her husband joined us there for dinner. The proprieter, Stephane, was very amiable. And his wife, Maryline, is chef for the restaurant. The cuisine is very original, with playful titles of dishes and amazing presentation. Therefore, if you don't read French perfectly, you may be challenged on the menu items. But the English menu is good, so ask for it. Our French friends were able to help us in the translations. great service and weinliste. had the cork meat tar (good, but not big) and kalb (good above average). beautiful ambiente, but relaxed. a good restaurant option if they are in the opposite for couples and groups, but not children
