I first tried La Cachette for Sunday morning breakfast. It was very easy to find a car park nearby and there was a great lively atmosphere when I showed up, with lots of dogs tied up outside and families enjoying the sunshine. My boyfriend and I both grabbed a newspaper and took a table outside. The service was fast and attentive. The menu is pretty extensive, with a wide variety of drinks and breakfast options. To drink I had a 'Nutty Professor' smoothie (I'm a sucker for anything with peanut butter) and my boyfriend had a berry smoothie (which was a bit watery and could have used more berries). To eat I tried the 'Broad Beans, Peas and Edamame' which came with poached eggs on...

Not your typical poached eggs on toast; The "summer toast" on the specials menu was served with ricotta, crunchy pear, honey, asparagus, rocket, prosciutto and poached eggs. I ordered this dish out of curiosity as I was intrigued by the medley of ingredients - ricotta and honey, and rocket, prosciutto and pear I get, but honey and eggs together in the one dish? My tastebuds were in hyperdrive trying to make sense of the cacophony of textures and flavours. It was tasty but not sure I'd order it again. The bacon and egg roll, on the other hand, was a tried and true formula with salty bacon and fried egg inside a nice crusty roll. La Cachette is a great little cafe with welcoming and friendly...
I just wanted to make the effort to say that you guys are consistently good and always friendly and lovely. I had a take away lunch today that was just delicious - total quality. My litmus test is always what sort of tomato is served to me - 9 times out of 10 when I eat out I get the horrible little end piece or a watery or green piece of tomato and have to remove it, you always serve delicious, red, juicy pieces of tomato and it always makes me feel like you care about your customers.Thank you!! So since the Garden Cafe is undergoing renovation we have had to look further down the road for brekkie these days. Was very busy but we found a table and were served promptly. Had the 'Eggs Bennie with Brioche and crispy bacon', not really crispy but good quality and tasty all the same. The Brioche makes it very rich so perhaps next time just plain sourdough for me. The scrambled egged on toast with tomato for my other half was good. Coffee also good. All in all satisfying.
I drive passed this place quite often and always wonder how the food is, well today I found out Not the most suitably located cafe, but at least it's got plenty of close Parking. The food was a little bit of hit and miss for me. The food was well presented and looked the goods but just lacked the killer blow. Coffee was not what I'm used to and for me this is where they fell over. Still a nice experience though and worth a visit
I found this little cafe when driving around looking for lunch this was a great find the staff are extremely helpful and with a great menu this cafe is a must visit. The specials are definitely worth a look which at this time they were serving an amazing chicken burger which I believe should become standard on their menu.I would highly recommend this to everyone looking for a great lunch with a price to match
What a lovely find in Alexandria. Service was friendly and food was first class. I had the french toast and it was served with marscapone cream, strawberries, fruit compote and bacon. Couldn't have been better! Has an extensive menu to suit all tastes. Book a table now
A group of four girls visited Sydney and stayed at Alexandria. Trying to find something to eat near the apartment, Google maps showed us this amazing place. It was so good we came again the next day
Great service. Great food. Highly recommend it! I had the mushroom special with poached eggs - a must try. My mates had avocado with quinoa another great dish.

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
