We are oyster lovers and after doing some research on places to eat we drove to Blainville sur mer after visiting the Dior Musee. Two restaurants are located side by side right on the sea and they couldn 't be more different we initially went into the fancier one and were rudely told by the host that without a reservation no table. We walked next door to what looked very rustic asked if there was a table and proceed to sit at one of the communal tables. Great location next to the beach. Wooden benches and tables in beach shack location. Very rustic outside. Good simple food and inexpensive wine although only bottled beer lager at 4 Euros a glass. Meat cooked on an open fire. Help yourself to bread! Late afternoon visit so the place was virtually empty and initially thought we were too late but they managed to accommodate us for eating. Stumbled on the place the day before around 12:30 and the place was heaving. Very large portion of mussels and corresponding sized plate of chips washed down with a bottle of pink. Afterwards, sat on one the outside benches overlooking the beach in the sun, very relaxing and quite unique. Apparently one of th...
