Came here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was half empty, and 7 of us were seated at a table meant for 6 people. Not that big of a deal. Our waiter came and took our drink and appetizer orders. We asked to please have water for the table. Appetizers came out and we all enjoyed them, but still did not get water. Mind you this was the only beverage some people at the table ordered to drink. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant with my family on Sunday. The food was subpar; the calamari was soggy and had an unpleasant smell. The service was equally lacking, with the manager displaying a rude attitude. Additionally, when it was time to settle the bill, they charged my debit card more than I authorized. I won’t be returning here with my family, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you do decide to go, make sure to check the bill closely when paying with a card to avoid unexpected charges for tips.
I would first like to say that this is a very loud atmosphere. If you want an intimate dinner with someone, that's not the place. At least not when I left what was Sunday for dinner. As an appetizer we have the Papa a la Huancaina. The Suace, who was on top of the potatoes, had a bit of a kick that happened fast. It was smooth and creamy. As a duck I got the Lomo Candela, which consisted of the sauteed beef strips and shrimps. It was just like 3 pieces of shrimp, but it was still good

This was just my second time to eat Peruvian food, but the food I had in La Candela was far superior to my previous outing elsewhere. The Ceviche Mixto was cool, fresh and it didn't taste all seafood and Chaufa had wok hey as I had in a Chinese restaurant. All grilled items were tasty and perfectly cooked. I would also highly recommend the Lomo Saltado and just so you're not thrown away before you order there is a bed of French fries on the bottom of the dish.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. My favorite dish was the green pasta, and I also tried the steak. While the steak was rated 4 out of 5, the pasta was absolutely perfect. I've been to several Peruvian restaurants where the pasta lacks flavor, but this is definitely my go-to spot. The atmosphere is fantastic as well. Highly recommended!
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The menu is on the smaller side, but the food was very good. The chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked, the sweet curtains were delicious. Especially I enjoyed the Chichi Morada. We're going back.
The food was absolutely delicious! I had a little bit of everything: steak, rice, seafood, and ceviche. The ambiance was lovely, and the singer, who had an amazing voice, made my birthday dinner truly unforgettable.
