the call and the evaluation of this restaurant is better than the C-G restaurant where we had dined on the eve: so we had high-hopes of something special. the restaurant was very pleasant in the inner, but we had requested a table on the terrace. we studied. the menu on length and after a really good French meal on the eve we were dressed on something else and our decisions confirmed this. my partner chose “Melon and Ham” to begin what was good. The main course was the “Thai wok Chicken” which was very good and very tasty. an excellent ‘chocolate mousse’ followed for the desert. I chose the Omelette style starter (called 'oeff cocette' i remember) that was ‘OK’, but not the most tasty taste....
We decided to visit this restaurant when other restaurants that we intended to try were full or closed. So glad we did. A nice warm evening ,we were shown to a table outside. Really good extensive menu with plenty of choice for everyone. I had...a fantastic salad with smoked salmon prawns and chicken, which was yummy and my husband and son in law had the moules and frites, whilst my daughter had fish and chips. It became really busy as you would expect for a Saturday evening but despite this the 2 waiters were attentive and quick.
pamper small things, which could be an excellent eating experience. for example, my flambéd crepe was served with alcohol, only no flambé! We were told that it was flambit before reaching the table, but because it was very lukewarm, that sounded very unlikely. Also my main meal consisted only of 2 gambs, served warm and the risotto again only lukewarm. restaurant was busy so that maybe other people eating experience was better than our own!
had birthday dinner with friends today. excellent food and service as always. within our local group of expats this is always our first choice, whether it is for a special occasion or just a quick lunch. the previous noise problem when fully resolved and the general ambiente is now good.
