In the middle of a low rise shopping 'estate' just outside Agen, I wasn't expecting great things. We had our usual lunch of 6 oysters followed by fish soup, our friends had other options. The oysters were beautifully fresh and the fish soup was delicious. The rest of the party were delighted with their meals. Everything was impeccably presented by cheerful staff, with wine, water and bread brought swiftly. Ambience is sophisticated and modern. Our meal came to about 65€ per couple but that included two bottles of wine for four people (well three people really as the driver restrained himself!)Our friends had been recently during the week (we were there at Saturday lunchtime) and it was mobbe...

We were buying quite a few biggish things in nearby Leroy Merlin (like B&Q) and a member of staff recommended La Cantine which is just round the corner. We didn't know what to expect and were delighted! It was packed but as we were towards the end of lunch, they found us a table. Unfortunately the Plat du Jour (Dish of the Day)had all gone but the Manager quickly offered some salmon instead. It was delicious. For our second visit we arrived soon after the start of lunch but were still able to get a table and a delicious Plat du Jour of Brosme (E9 each). It was a beautifully cooked chunky, quite a dense piece of white fish served with vegetables. We had a glass of wine each, a dessert (E6 eac...

Not perhaps the most inspiring location - in the middle of a huge shopping district, but an excellent quality restaurant no less. Service is friendly and prompt (although my Crème brûlée seemed to take a while, arriving instead of at the same time as... coffeee. But that is a small aspect. The swordfish steak part of today's choice was excellent: perfectly cooked and served with salad, ratatouille vegetables and a few potatoes. The mixed fish plate my husband ordered was also superb large selection of fish and crustaceans served on rice. There are one or two meat dishes (and a children's menu, but as his name already says, this is primarily a fish restaurant. Booking is essential - the place...

We'd heard good things about this place and then it was personally recommended by friends. It was full so we had our first course on small, uncomfortable bar stools at the window. The food was basically a fish cake, but hand made and made into...a ball. OK, but lacking interest. They then found us a table for the next course. My wife's hake was fine, but my ?????? had an unusual texture and no flavour. There was also a decorative bright green sauce, which might have been there just for the colour, because it had an unidentifiable bitter taste. Cafe gourmands were lovely, except the things that should have been crispy were soggy. We won't be returning. Book a table now

Indoor or outdoor dining . The best option for fresh fish in the area hands down . Friendly service and the Host co owner is great . i personally like ' ' Friture d 'Eperlan ' ' so i was happy they offered it as a snack with cocktails....Loved it all and will go again during my next visit to Agen .Its a wonderful experience and a good alternative to most local restaurants who mainly offer red meat or duck i love duck but after a week ... a great piece of Fish was appreciated . lol, .

At noon, early gratitude stood (on spectacle) until 1230 the place heaving was in a good way. We had the menu of the day all the fish we had were perfected, the portions were well balanced. As I said, it was very... tedious, but our three courses were served professionally and appropriately at a distance. We would recommend for lunch.

As usual, the food was first-class. Well cooked and beautiful fresh fish. The special on this day was swordfish and those who enjoyed it. A guy had lobster Risotto and I had cod cooked on Plancha.
