Luckily we visited out of season and on a midweek day so easily got a table. By the time we left the restaurant was full. It is a handsome, peaceful place with a high vaulted ceiling. The layout is unfussy and tasteful; we weren't packed in and the height of the room increases the sense of spaciousness. Our waiter was impeccable attentive but not intrusive. We chose locally sourced dishes and each one was delicious, slightly over presented but like the décor, unfussy and full of taste. A thoughtful recommendation of local wine excellent. After a day driving through heavy rain and a fairly ho hum hotel, la Caverne was an oasis of gastronomic excellence. Thank you.

Passed this restaurant all week, every table reserved. Then one lucky night spotted a table without a reservation sign, and yippee table was ours! This was truly a wonderful experience, excellent, helpful staff. Food was amazing - truly fine dining. Highly recommend the avocado / Crab starter. Every course a delight, great wine and great atmosphere in this nugget of a restaurant. Book a head and reserve a table - will be a shame if you are in Greoux les Bains and don't get to try it.

I kept the business card and booked again when I knew we would be passing through in June this year. We experienced the same fabulous service, wonderful staff and amazing food. We were travelling for 2 months and, in a very competitive field including some of our favourites in Barcelona, this was the best dining experience we had. We will be back.

This little gourmet gem is in the center of a historic little town (there are thermal baths at Greoux, dating back to Roman times). We were lucky to walk in and get a table, just before main tourist season. Just a few tables, and the owner is waiter and chef. Yowzer. The set menus are great value for the excellence of cuisine. My foie gras creme brulee was an appetizer from heaven!
