La Renaissance is my family's favorite restaurant in L'Isle Sur La Sorgue. We eat there every time we visit, which is about six times each year. The owners are extremely friendly and the food is wonderful. We especially like to eat on the lovely terrace which is alongside the River Sorgue and is open during the warmer months (there are about a dozen tables that fit in this space, which is covered by a large awning). We especially love the special that includes salad, soup of the day and a piece of quiche (may be called something other than quiche). we stumbled over la chope while we look for somewhere to lunch in theuleflit with our little children. After we had suffered a terrible service in our first choice of restaurants and were told for the parking lot of our bikes outside, we were pleasantly surprised when the people in La...Chope made space for our bikes and welcomed us and our children. the set menu is a good value and eating is simple and tasty. we fought to finish everything, but we did it! the beer was also delicious. beautiful location directly on the main road. recommended for a beer or lunch.
I don't like having to do these types of reviews. We couldn't try the food. With empty tables on the terrace, enough space and at 1 p.m. on a Friday and with no people waiting, they did not want to set up a table for 6. Little desire to work and provide service to the client who, after all, is the one who supports them. I would have liked to eat. Pity!!!
Pretty setting right by the canal, in the shade on a small terrace. Good welcome from two charming young girls, fast service, very good, nice presentation, 2 aperitifs served with tapenade and toast, 2 huge salads, 2 desserts, 2 coffees for 48€ Very good value for money
