I had heard great things about this place for years, so I was very excited when my friend and I went there for the first time. We were especially thrilled because they have a BYOB policy! The owners are incredibly nice people, and La Ciudad has a knack for creating the perfect evening ambience. They make subtle but perfect changes that reflect the seasons throughout the year. We have been back many times since because the food is delicious with perfect portions. It's very authentic and tasty, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I give it 5 stars all the way!
I've happened this place a hundred times and never thought to stop. I decided that had to change and I was absolutely not disappointed. from when I went to the restaurant for the first time until I left, I was amazed at how friendly everyone was and how phenomenal eating tasted. everything is boiled to the best chips and salsa they will ever have in their lives - not even remote joking. la ciudad is such an amazing hole in the wall restaurant in uptown. I recommend trying this place when they are on the chew, it deserves it's 5 stars and I'll come back soon!

The food was fantastic and the service was great. The option to bring your own bottle is a nice bonus, and they also offer to make margaritas with the tequila you bring. The black chops are highly recommended, as they are delicious. I returned and the experience was still amazing. I absolutely loved this place. If you're looking for a quaint, unique place with excellent service, scratch-made entrees and romantic ambiance, you should definitely go here! I enjoyed the perfect birthday dinner (2/25/16) with exactly what I wanted to drink (since it's BYOB). We had combo fajitas and tostadas--both were awesome. Whatever you order, the chicken tortilla soup is a MUST.
Lovely place in a modest area. La Ciudad did a marvelous job of creating a lovely ambiance within a parking lot. Food was tasty with sufficient portions. Was a costly meal—about $14 for a burrito with rice and beans. The servers were lovely and authentic—which created a very positive, comfortable atmosphere.
The food was fantastic and the owner's brother served us. The menu had a good variety of options, with some affordable dishes as well as more expensive specialties. The decor may be unassuming from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is very cozy and inviting. I will definitely be returning!
Great food. Friendly staff, and extremely amazingly affordable prices, but they will charge you for a corkage fee if you do bring in a dessert and they slice the cake for you. Great food and the owner's brother was there as our server. Nice menu. Simpler less expensive dishes as well as a few higher priced specialty dishes. Decor looks kind of fancy from the outside but the atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting! I will visit again!
