The food was not fresh at all. The shrimp was past its expiration date, and when we ordered the Chaufa mix, it turned out to be nothing but eggs and rice with just a few pieces of chicken. The ceviche had a strange smell from the shrimp, and the lomo saltado was disappointing, served only with potato fries. The rice had little white hairs all over it, which was really unappetizing. After we contacted the restaurant, they admitted that they hadn’t removed old ingredients, which explained the rotten shrimp. Their solution? The food was tasty, but I was charged $56 for two orders of lomo and a quarter chicken with rice. When I opened my orders, I found that each lomo saltado contained only five strips of meat. I recommend considering your options before dining here. While the food was delicious, the portion sizes didn't match the price I paid.
This is the restaurant of Ana's kitchen, where they cook with soul. I am grateful for the exquisite dishes; without her, we wouldn't have been able to eat with such pleasure and reminisce about my country, Peru.
I wouldn't trust those 5-star ratings. I drove 7 miles to eat there, and I was really disappointed with the place. It was quite underwhelming.
