We visit Montpellier every couple of years, and we always come back to La Coquille, a charming restaurant in a beautiful old part of town. We were delighted to find the food and atmosphere as excellent as we remembered from past visits. The owners are...so gracious, and their staff is sweet and hard-working. Some of our favorite dishes are the prawns and the squid (normally I’m not a squid fanatic, but their preparation is delicious)
My husband and I stayed at the hotel across the street in early September and had dinner here one evening. There is a lot of outside seating and I believe there may be some inside for diners wanting to avoid smokers. I had steak frites...and my husband had lamb. My steak frites was large but a little tough and chewy, but my husband liked his lamb. There were a good number of smokers here as at all cafes, so be aware.
I had a wonderful time here last week at a private evening event hosted at this restaurant. I think there must have been about 80 or so of us. The owner and staff did a great job keeping everyone's drinks filled and supplying us with...delicious nibbles. Very friendly service too. Next time I am in Montpellier, I will try the restaurant itself. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Met twee gezinnen aan een tafel heerlijk gegeten in een leuk rustig straatje in Montpellier. Vriendelijke bediening van de jongeman. Vis smaakte erg goed. Hamburgers voor de kinderen zagen er goed uit. Toetjes mooi opgemaakt en lekker. Prima prijs voor lekkere lunch Book a table now
Très bon moment passé dans ce restaurant. Le service est impeccable (supers conseils lors de la prise de commande), la cuisine délicieuse et la terrasse très agréable. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant dans un très beau quartier de Montpellier.
we had a perfect evening in la coquille. the food was simple and yet fabulous and the service matched the food. there was also a fantastic solo guitarist singer to offer more ambiente. lage is amazing and I recommend it warm.
Popped in here while sight seeing. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Staff were very very friendly and managed to explain the menu to us due to our dodgy french. I’d recommend .
