La Costilla Grill Mcdonough

La Parrilla is our go to for Mexican in McDonough; however, tonight we arrived later than usual and there was a 45 minute wait, so we decided to try La Castillo Grill for the first time. BAD DECISION…..we arrived and the La Castillo Grill was totally empty except for a customers at the bar. We actually discussed leaving since the place was empty assuming something must be wrong with the food or something else for the place to be totally empty at 5:45 on a Friday night), but we stayed. The chips and salsa were fair…..thick chips and salsa that tasted mostly like Cholula Hot Sauce. We ordered and our food arrived quickly. My shredded pork taco was good, but very, very tiny…..the corn tortilla...

I’m not a stranger to authentic Mexican food. This food was HORRIBLE with a capital H?. I really do think that most people don’t give a damn what they eat. They go to these places because everyone else is going. These folks just dump a whole bunch of old bay seasoning on the shrimp, steak over cooked, refried beans refried too many times, glasses dirty, sweet tea was more like water with a splash of tan it didn’t even have the color of sweet tea. Y’all need to stop lying to folks in these reviews because a 4.6??? Street corn was blah. How can you get a taco wrong?
