"A stop of on the way to the French Alps. Very comfortable and agreeable stay. The hosts are super friendly and the breakfast is all homemade or local produce. We would not hesitate to stay again. 3.5 hours from Calais and 5.5 to Méribel. Ideal. Also great local restaurants that they can advise upon if not eating in. Do go and stay, it’s lovely."

Makes a great change of scenery from...

La Croix Jean Claude is the original hotel in les Allues, full of character and usually quite quiet at lunch. s a result we had a long one with excellent service, lovely food all round and plenty of local Savoie wine.(chosen by Gerrard who certainly knows his local wines) Our lunch turned a miserable day in to a very enjoyable social occasion. This is a great venue for a quiet lunch away from crowds. if the weather is nice then they also have a lovely little sun terrace. Perfect...
