the restaurant la dona is located on a main street and we drove past without stopping many paints due to the location. today, Saturday, many restaurants are closed for lunch and I wanted to eat some friends. la dona. was open, so we decided to risk it. we have not visited months! the place is beautiful. we were welcomed by a young lady who spoke English, very friendly, helpful and pleasant. we were feeling at home right away. there is a limited carte as she explains that everything is freshly prepared, so it depends on what is available. there were two fixed menus and since I was not offered on the net, because I was not fussy because that was not wonderful! I have used this restaurant in the last 15 years under various owners. that is very close to being the best. we went to lunch and had the fixed price menu that was very good. the greeting was very good and the staff helpful....We started with a selection of the cold buffet, which was well equipped with a delicious selection of meats and salads. for my main course I choose the lasagne that was a complete failure. the content was thin and thin, without taste. for the desert we had fresh strawberries that were small and full of taste. I come back when I am in the opposite and give this restaurant a second chance. it has so much that it does well.
we came on a Saturday evening of January and opted for the menu at 25€. the setting is nice, the kitchen is good but we think it's inappropriate at the menu price. In flat, we had the choice between chicken, veal tendons or seiche whites. When we were at dessert, we were offered: fruit salad, white cheese, 2 ice cream balls or strawberry (the only one that deserved to be in this menu at 25€, although in January,.....) menu items at 13/15€ in a menu at 25€.... we expected better!
