Ate here because of its proximity to my hotel and wanted something more local than the standard places usually found around rail stations. The decor was a surprise, appearing to be modelled on a UK sitcom 's idea of a typical small French restaurant you almost expected Gorden Kaye to appear as René followed by Yvette 'Allo, 'allo). The food was good a good terrine as a starter was followed by a truly excellent tartiflette washed down with a 50cl pitcher of rosé leaving room for nothing more than a café gourmand to finish. Service was good and efficient without being overbearing and prices were what I expected for a mid range restaurant €40 per head seemed good value for money given quantity...

La Ferme a Dede specializes in local foods and regional specialties. The food was delicious and the portions were sizeable: My wife had the onglet à l 'échalote (steak with potatoes dauphinoise and a small salad), and I had the les noix de Dede (salad with walnuts, charcuterie, and ravioles du grand goulets). Despite how good the food was, we could not finish it all. The wait staff was also quite kind and patient with our sometimes less than perfect French. We were so impressed we visited the sister restaurant in the city centre a couple of days later.

It was our first night in Grenoble and we walked the streets for over half an hour looking for an authentic French restaurant and finally we came across la Ferme a Dédé! Straight away we knew that this was the best place to sample the regional specialities of Grenoble. We had to try the cheese-based dishes. They were very busy that night and the service staff were hard to attract their attention.

We had a nice evening here with colleagues. Lots of hearty food cheese and meets, nice raclette. Good value for what you get. Dessert was also quite good. Service was ok but as above nothing special. Nice atmosphere and good value but I wouldn’t be rushing back
