we were dinning at la forge last night and what a joy. from the moment they go, they are warmly welcomed by the owner and main server. we have chosen the men's truffles and each dish is prepared with black truffles. we started with goat cheese. baked in baked only a small dish to entice the palette. it followed a pate with truffle as an appetizer and we asked our server to meet the choice of the weine. it was a crisp white wine from the region the perfect compliment for our meal. for my main course I had the cod and my man had the pork, both were prepared excellently with shave and served our sweet in a light truffle sauce. we had a rehearsal of risotto, which is also available as a main cou...
we spent the day to jump from one mountain village to another, finally landed on carros where we decided to find a restaurant for our evening meal. to the happiness we did this, since restaurant la forge was a fantastic fund. the staff are very friendly and fun....The cook came out to welcome us and to our eating during the evening. the menu is simple, but great. the set menu is particularly good, and I recommend that you ask what the specialties are. the cream Brûlée is smooth, with a hauch of “Fleur D’oranger” or orange blossom. quite simply a fantastic little restaurant in a picturesque environment.
we are very happy to book la forge for our dinner. there was no fault and this restaurant has everything I expect from michelin restaurant. friendly staff and an amazing but really amazing eating. the presentation of eating and taste of food. extraordinary and I never eat better dessert. well made cook!
Great service, great food, great location. Foie gras, chorizo mozzarella parcels as well as brie with truffle to start. Fantastic steaks, duck and scallops for main with excellent orange creme brulee for desert. Would recommend!
