This is not only hands-down the best bakery in the Uzès area, but is one of the best we've tried anywhere. Even their baguette, one of the most basic things you can bake, is a revelation, just bursting with flavor, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and a delightful chewiness inside. The croissants can make a grown man weep with happiness. We treated ourselves to a perfect Pain au Chocolat and a local treat, a Sacristan (twisted, crispy, flaky, almond flecked pastry.) The staff was warm, gracious, and helpful. After selecting our pastry, and ordering two Gran Cafe Creme (2 large coffees with cream), we settled down with some cheese we purchased in town and had a fine breakfast at the tables set out in front of this excellent and charming bakery. Highly recommended.
We stopped by not knowing what to expect but I wanted my American friends to try and taste the true French Pastries. Needless to say that there was no disappointment there. Hands down the best patisserie in Uzes. Come here for your treats-- everyone else does, the line is usually very long. Exceptionally friendly service and incidentally some very beautiful staff!
High quality artisana bake shop with two outdoor tables for a coffee to go with your treats. The baguette is excellent although more expensive than other shops. Love the crème brûlée tart.
