My wife and I had cause to visit Avranches the other day. At lunchtime we were passing La Fourchette and as we discovered many years ago, the outward appearance of any restaurant is usually irrelevant where the quality of the food offering is concerned and La Fourchette is no exception. It is not in any way an unpleasant façade but simply does not look like a high class restaurant (which it makes no pretension to being).
