My group and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking by and decided to stop in for an appetizer. We chose the flautas and tamal de puerco to share, and also ordered a mango-lime drink. I have never tried Nicaraguan cuisine before, so I can't speak to its authenticity, but the food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning. The service was prompt and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to trying more dishes on my next visit. The tamal was generously sized, giving us leftovers to enjoy later. The waitress informed us that they offer beer from local breweries owned by Latinx individuals, which was a nice touch. The selection was small but all sounded delicious.

I've had maybe 5-6 Nicaraguan restaurants as a 25 year resident of San Francisco so moving to Concord I was surprised to find such great Nicaraguan food here. I love everything about this place. The quality of the steak they use and the chimichurri are two of my favorite things. I love bringing friends here and introducing them to this country's food, the Nica Sample being an easy way to do that. Beyond the food, Jenn's restaurant is a staple of the city, a place that is often made available to the community for more than just eating her food. Jenn and her restaurant are an amazing pillar of the community and I absolutely love supporting them.

I was wandering around when I was stuck waiting nearby for my car. This was a great find! Food was fresh, portion was good, price is great! Service was fantastic! I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes. Update: ordered the same dish again. The cabbage was a little tart/too much vinegar or something. The chicken didn’t really look as pretty as the first time when I ordered it. But it was still tasty. You definitely need a thick jacket if you dine in. It was freezing inside. I went on a Wednesday afternoon. Customer service was good.

We recently visited this restaurant for the first time and it definitely won't be our last. We decided to try the Nica sampler plate which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. The meats were tasty and tender, especially the pork which was my favorite. The plantains were also delicious and the flautas or tacos were full of flavor. Overall, it was a great first time lunch experience. We regret not taking any pictures to remember it by.
