Monsieur is behind the bar and has a welcoming personality and Madame manages the kitchen where the cooking is definitely homemade making it even more surprising that the plates most consistently ordered by myself and my friends (we were 24 this time around) in this French restaurant are ASIAN! We had lunch here yesterday. I had a Chevre Chaud Salad and my partner had a Tomatoe Salad Entré. Perfect and we did a bit of sharing. The quality of the food was excellent and the service swift and friendly. I’ve actually forgotten what we paid, which included a 50cl Pichet of Rosé but, it was reasonable. They do an Asiatic Assiette for sharing which was €20 and this looked amazing value !
Absolutely better food than the average beach bar. I had a Chèvre Chaud Salad, the quality was perfect and it was huge, so big in fact that I shared it with my partner. We 'washed it down ' with a 50cl pitcher of Rose and two coffees. TotL cost €27. I will be here for 5 weeks on this visit so, I will return without doubt to La Galinette .
We have visited the Galinette many times, and never been disappointed, always welcomed by friendly staff or proprietor. Good menu, food cooked very well by family members, presentation and service are a pleasure. Good selection of wines. Comfortable overall experience, relaxed atmosphere. Good value.
