Un patron et une équipe formidable et serviable.Patrice (patron et chef cuisinier) est d’une gentillesse et à l’écoute des clients. Déjeunant à l’hôtel, Patrice nous demandait toujours si le repas de soir nous convenait. Les repas sont fait avec des produits et des légumes frais. Tout est fait maison, même le menu 12 € de midi avec une entrée, plat , fromage, dessert et un quart de vin ou limonade. Ne voulant pas être déçu dans un autre restaurant, vu la qualité des repas à la carte et le menu complet dans cet HOTEL DE LA GARDELLE, nous avons demandé à Patrice un plateau de fruits...
I eat here often when in St Malo. The owner and staff are very friendly. There is a choice of two starters and two main courses every day at lunchtime. It fills up quickly as it is well known by the locals and workers. They offer a starter , main course, cheese platter and dessert platter plus wine for 12 euros in total. The food is of a high quality as it is made fresh every day. Dishes can run out quickly so it's better to arrive earlier than later. It is NOT usually open in the evening except during high season so it,s best to check beforehand. Reservation is probably a good idea too. I spent a week there with my family in a spacious room for 4 people. The room was pleasant without being too luxurious, a decent bathroom and an excellent flat screen TV. The location is excellent, a short walk from Rochebonne beach and the Intra Murs promenade. The owner and his team go out of their way to make the stay pleasant warm restaurant and good breakfast. We left very early on our last day and had to skip breakfast. To my great surprise, there was a basket of local specialties outside the room door that morning! Very warm welcome!! Very good dishes at an affordable price, the service is fast. The waitresses and the chef are very friendly and compressible. There are a lot of choices on the menu and they are very varied. For my part and that of my family, we are very delighted with the rooms that were available to us. I, who am very picky, found that the rooms were very clean and comfortable, we had a great time!! I highly recommend this hotel restaurant

We ran in, in a torrential downpour with our little boy to get a last minute lunch. Not speaking the best French we were offered the set menu and took it. My days! Pate to start, pork steak with frites, dessert, cheese, coffee and it included a glass of wine. The bill? €24 for both of us! The food was excellent, the service very friendly and value for money doesn't get better than this!
My husband and I went for the first time and we ate very well. Starter: very good shrimp salad. Dish: piece of beef, potatoes, carrots, very very good. Dessert: gourmet plate; really well served. Very pleasant waitresses. I recommend.
