"Not bad 3 course lunch for 15€ but quite a basic menu sticking to the local remit of just serving duck, unfortunately not doing it that well though. Not a great atmosphere in the dining room either. Won't be rushing back!"

We ate on the terrace on a hot day in August, the pizzas looked excellent but we had eaten one just a couple of days before so decided on the plat du jour which was filet de mignon de porc with a mushroom sauce, chips and salad. It was good, perhaps my pork was a little overlooked as it was thinner than my husband's, but the sauce and chips were delicious. We decided to have a dessert which was a mistake, it was a sundae dish of ice cream, a couple of small pieces of pear and lots of Chantilly cream, overpriced at 7 euros. The Grimbergen beer was delicious, just the thing on a hot day and the carafe of red wine was also good. The service was good considering it was a busy restaurant.

We stopped in for lunch after the cave tour... Lovely food. I personally had the Assiette la Gariotte (pardon my spelling!) ... GORGEOUS, huge, fresh salad with a little bit of smoked duck breast, some local goat cheese, and I forget what else.... Absolutely delicious. The children enjoyed playing on the little playground while the adults enjoyed chilled wine and good beer. Overall, excellent. (Americans, plan for slow service -- there is definitely something that we do not "get" about how this works in France. Just roll with it.)

Went here for lunch before visiting the caves. The restaurant was packed out and the service staff worked extremely efficiently to attend to the amount of covers they had, very impressed. Food was great, I had a lamb dish which was excellent. The pizzas looked very good and children ate most of theirs! Very tasty ice cream sundae for desert. Overall a very pleasant meal.

Before doing the cave tour we had a bite at La Gariotte which is located just off the large parking. We went for the pizzas which i have to say were excellent. The crust was perfectly thin with just enough toppings so as not to spoil the lovely crust. Prices are also very democratic.
