La Grignote - Table reservation

On entering the restaurant you feel like you've walked into a Brocante as there are all kinds of memorabilia hanging from the walls and ceiling and giant dolls in high chairs. You are greeted by the owners wife who is charming and although busy finds time to help with a menu that needs navigating carefully, it's hand written and some words are difficult to decipher, if your French is a little weak you could struggle. this is a place for ambiance, something different and a smile in their face that make you happy, it is an experience, not culinary but of life, the food is good, but the point is in talking to the owner, worth the visit, ne pas manquer.

If you don't like cheese and potatoes and lots of them and coming here is probably a mistake given that that is the local specialty and they are good at it. Pleasant staff, good wine and fun surroundings with a bill that doesn't hurt.

Friendly staff. Lovely food. Get there early, the restaurant is understaffed during the busy season. But as we noticed during our stay. one day a restaurant is full next day it is fairly empty! Food lovely and accommodating staff

Great fun, food well cooked and interesting, a very welcome change to the normal donot be put off by the exterior
