We booked La Halle de la Renaissance as part of our 2 day visit to Puy du Fou. We thought the entertainment would make the experience that little bit more special for the whole family. The food as ok, it was a set 3 course meal including pate en croute, chicken leg with potatoes & peas and a chocolate & caramel cake, with wine. The entertainment was ok but the meal felt rushed as we had a 6.30pm booking and we had to leave the table by 7.30pm for the following serving. The evening show was on at 10.30pm so we had 3 spare hours to fill. The hall itself was nice, the kids thought it was a bit mad eating and drinking out of metal plates & cups but that was the idea...

The fixed menu - salad, roast chicken and a cake dessert with as much house wine as you want was acceptable as served simultaneously to all tables of 10 by cheerful staff. The chicken tasted good but the meal could have come from a cafeteria but with a better decor. We had one member with allergy needs and his meal was terrible - salad, fish which tasted frozen and a couple of apples for dessert. At least they made an effort to provide it.The show was fun with diners participating but without the props that would have made it special. Good for a fun family meal, not good for anyone wanting a gourmet meal for two.

This is a banqueting meal with a show basically ancient times french vs English! It's good fun. Good food, salad and lovely pate to start, flambéed chicken legs along with potatoes and peas for main and a creamy chocolate desert. Unlimited red and rose wine and water too. A great place to go for dinner at 8pm if you are waiting around I see the last show les orgues du fou which is spectacular.
