Located adjacent to Lille in a residential area garden setting, Le Laiterie is a special chef driven experience. Basically a limited ala carte menu and a mysterious tasting menu (described in story like terms that make every course a bit of a surprise). This added to the excitement, so I went “all in” on the 5 course tasting for 78 EUR even though some of the ala carte choices such as the morel mushroom starter appealed. In addition to some delicious amuse bouche, palate cleanser, bread, and petit fours, the main courses were cow’s milk with verbena and truffle sauces, a crab tortellini in almond broth (described as almond cake), a superb carrot tart with a crab globe and crab sauce, lamb wi...
Our Saturday lunch was delicious, surprising and accompanied with great wines. We took the degustation menu with 4 dishes and really appreciated the service, the wines chosen by the sommelier and the haddock puree with shallots and a gin sorbet which delighted us. Highly recommended!
What a fabulous meal we had on the terasse of this lovely restaurant! The food was very special, and great too to find an imaginative and delicious vegetarian menu available. The service was impeccable, responsive but with a light touch. All in all a superb experience.
