It became clear why I had been charged $55, but I explained to the owner that this size was not what I had requested. I specifically mentioned a small cake for 5 to 10 people, even using hand gestures to illustrate my point. The owner apologized and suggested an alternative cake, which I agreed to switch to.
However, this new cake was only $32, while the much larger cake I had received was $55. When I asked the owner for the difference back, she went to the register and tossed the money across the counter without saying a word before walking away. Did she expect a tip for her mistake? Did she think I should pay more for her error after choosing a less expensive cake?

They have really good cakes, so it saddens me to have to give them so few stars. Have ordered cakes for delivery a couple times all have been delicious, but yesterday we did not receive what we ordered they substituted our order for a completely different cake without calling notifying us that they did not have what we wanted in stock. When I called to ask about it, they did not acknowledge or apologize for not reaching out were rude/didnt take accountability. A refund was offered but only if we brought it back which was not possible at the time.Take caution when ordering: you may not get what you asked for and they will not communicate out of stock items or changes to your order.
la Luce is the loveliest pastry shop !! It was our first time there and the girl at the front was soooo nice! I went there with my 6 children… so we needed some extra time to decide what to get for each kid. she was very kind, patient, and so helpful! We loved it ! And now on to the taste … the taste is out of this world AMAZING!! EVERYTHING we got. Was soooo good! And the croissants ?!!! Were a DREEEAM!! like ahhh so so good! We found out the owner makes them himself!! And learned in France!! Im telling ya! Ya gotta try these croissants!! Like. Really. my husband, kids and I are hooked. We loved everything we got. Can’t wait to go again!! HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended!!
I was in the area and stopped in here based on the reviews. I had mentioned to the nice girl behind the counter that it was my first time here and she recommended the croissants... Took four two apple and two cheese along with a few other pastries. The croissants were dry, old and not edible the other pastries were just okay nothing special.

Decided to stop for coffee and pastries to take home and the woman working was so rude I left without buying anything. I tried several attempts to be polite and finally had it and left. I understand if you’re having a bad day but don’t hurt your business by taking it out on others. Will not be returning or recommending!
Love this place. Was gunna do 4 star cuz the communication was bad, but it only happened once so I just moved on: the desserts are dope: the Boston whoopy pies are CRACK. I find myself going there and dropping 30-40& grabbing as many of the whoopy pies as they got. Criosaints are fire too. Try the spinach and feta one
We stopped in yesterday to try the new crepes. I had the ham and gruyere cheese and my daughter had the spinach and ricotta. Both were outstanding. The shop is conveniently located, clean and the staff is very friendly. We will be back!
The restaurant offers an extensive range of pastries. They have a flourless chocolate cake that is gluten-free. My wife, who has celiac disease, described it as incredibly rich and delicious.
