Since my childhood in Carpentras with my parents we used to buy pastries to take out after the sunday mass at the cathedral, by Maison Jouvaud rue decl'Eveche.. From one generation to the next one they prepare own made pastries first in Carpentras, now in l'Isle sur la Sorgue with this large shop in the city center. The choice of desserts is very large, sure many temptations for the clients.I buy only sweet and savoury especally when we have guests at home. f you are n Carpentras or l'Isle sur Sorgue dont miss Maison Jouvaud.

If you head to L’Isle de Sourge for the flea market you must stop here for lunch! They serve quiche, small pizzas, sandwiches, and the best savory and sweet tarts ever! Great cappuccino and great service. Basically you point at what you want, they heat it up and serve you at your table. Gorgeous and delicious food. They also sell kitchen wares that are beautiful.

We were drawn in by the gorgeous-looking pastries in the window, both sweet and savoury. You can either get them to take out, or place your order and sit at the tables in the back where they will take your drink order. We had a vegetable tart with eggplant, peppers and tomatoes, and a strawberry tart for dessert. Both were delectable.

We discovered this place accidentally while walking to our restaurant and made a point of stopping by for tea and desert. Really delicious. Would recommend more for a take-out than eat in as the sitting area is small and the chairs are very uncomfortable.
