La Bodega Negra did not live up to expectations. The food was extremely small portions relative to the price, making everything on the pricier side. The food was decently seasoned but not what I would consider good for Mexican food. The service, on top of all that, was subpar. The food came out so slow and the drinks even slower though we ordered those first. They also double charged me for my drinks though I let them know beforehand. I would not recommend this place unless it is purely just for drinks.
I booked a table for 12 people for a birthday meal and can't wait to go back again. I'm surprised at some of the poor reviews on here as I found the staff really friendly and helpful. It was extremely busy but our waitress was lovely and went out of her way to make sure we had what we wanted. The food was excellent and portion size was just right. We went downstairs afterwards, extremely full, for some more fun and cocktails. Music was excellent too!
We went to merendar and we were surprised, sweet riquísimos and a service by the wonderful Daniel waiter, wonderful views towards the cathedral, junging everything we had a very good time. (local's own coffee, point in favor)

This place is so confusing. We nearly given it a miss when we arrived at the door, reception was even more confusing even after talking to the lovely lady who made me even more confused and question the place
We went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful place open to two streets and with a quiet terrace at the foot of the cathedral. good coffee and toast. very efficient service.
Enjoyed the experience, food was great, small plates not the best value is portions were a little small relative to price, but tasty. Great margarita's.
