If you're in search of a Salvadoran/Central American restaurant in the area, La Perla De Oriente is a must-try! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the customer service is excellent, with the owner often present to ensure a great experience. The food is consistently amazing and always fresh. If you're looking for something to do on a weekend evening, they sometimes feature lovely music, making it the perfect setting to enjoy their fantastic drinks!
This restaurant serves food from El Salvador and offers the best Spanish cuisine in Valley Stream. It is very affordable and provides good service. For lunch, I ordered the chicken soup which was filled with plenty of chicken and well prepared. I also got Carnitas tacos on the side, which were delicious and flavorful. The restaurant is family-oriented and has a parking lot located on the side of the building.
I visited this restaurant for the Pupusas and was not impressed. They were overly thick with hardly any filling inside, resembling more bread than a traditional pupusa. I was disappointed, especially since the reviews had been positive. To make matters worse, this was my friend's first time trying pupusas and the experience at this place was not a good introduction for him.
Wonderfully delicious. Healthy portions. Reasonably priced! It's the second time I've been here and loved the food and service each time. The server was friendly but didn't appear to speak much English if any. Luckily my wife is fluent. I absolutely love the pupusas here! However, I think the restaurant could benefit from a little upgrade, as it has an older appearance.
