There was some build up before visiting this place. To my very good fortune, the place turned out to be just perfect for that time of the day, for that day and for the very good food we were served. Cheesecake, well, just the highlight of the night. Fabulous. I first saw this place when the building was all covered by scaffold while a restoring of the façade. The light was dimmed and the place looked interesting. You see, I´m an architect and interior designer and to me, decoration and atmosphere for me is as a hook as the delicious smell of food in the making; so, I looked through the window and loved it. Several couples were turned away, while one girl was taking up a whole table for 4 with her laptop. This is a simple set-up, much like a sandwich bar, with one person plating from plastic containers. Burrata with a spoon of pre-braised eggplant on top and some olive oil. Sliced Parma ham with some ricotta on top, and some walnuts. The gnocchi came from a separate room, and was beet red, with no flavour other than flour. Fair prices, nice simpl...

On a quiet street in the Maris District. Small plates offers the option to share a number of taste opportunities. Pleasant and convivial.
