We arrived at 7:30 PM on January 26, 2022, and were finally seated after a 15-minute wait. There were only three staff members present, and they were clearly overwhelmed as they rushed around trying to serve food. Once seated, we waited another 20 minutes before we had to ask a server to take our order. The service felt really disorganized and lacking attention. The waitstaff seemed to be under a lot of pressure, and I don't blame them for the situation.
Ultimately, we decided to leave after being told we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes for our pizzas. We ended up going to Grill'd instead, where there were plenty of staff eager to serve us. Our burgers arrived in under 10 minute...
What a gem! I needed a quick bite of lunch and found this place by chance. I frequent to other La Porchetta in my local area with my family and thought they were good until now. I was wrong. La Porchetta Frankston was another level. Friendly staff and great service! Most of all, the food! Spaghetti Pescatore is usually my favourite at La Porchetta, and La Porchetta Frankston's Spaghetti Pescatore was beyond my expectations. I couldn't help myself praising the chef when I left. I've been told by a staff member that La Porchetta Frankston has their own recipes from the opening of the shop and is still being maintained even today. Plan to revisit with my family in the near future
It's truly astonishing how one can create food that is so unappetizing. The pizza arrived swimming in a fresh pool of oil, which was actually the best part of our meal. While the food didn't taste outright terrible, I became violently ill halfway through, and my partner ended up throwing up in the bathroom. I might have been more lenient if the meals were around $10, but this is not a budget establishment. For $23, you could enjoy a meal at a decent restaurant. If this is what you consider authentic, then it feels like a declaration of war on Italian cuisine.
I do not recommend eating here. It was very average food and the staff very dismissive when I responded to their enquiry how the meals were! Everything we ordered looked less than appetising other than the cheesy garlic bread (that was the reason I gave a star) my ‘roasted’ pumpkin risotto was curdled and had boiled pumpkin not roasted the calamari looked like a strip cut into eights to make it go further and the chips look like they buy from the same supplier as McDonald’s! A terrible waste of a $110

A fantastic restaurant you can always depend on for fantastic food. I absolutely adore their bruschetta and pumpkin risotto. I recently had a home-made sticky date pudding and the only complaint is that I wanted more butterscotch sauce. The size was amazing and great value for the price. I highly recommend dining here
The food was great, the waitresses were absolutely lovely. I haven't been to a place in a long time that you could have fun with the waitresses while having dinner. We were all having a laugh and mucking around. Thank you for making my night ladies
It's been a long time since we've been here. We enjoyed the food and drink, but we were there for the company. Staff were great even after they gave our table away we were 15 min early). It was more a place to catch up with son #1 and his wife.
Seeing the reviews, isn’t as bad as people says. Isn’t that kind of place to spend hours at, but there you can find a quick and simple but nice Margarita pizza.
