We have visited here on several occasions and have been impressed by the friendly staff. Last night we booked for their Thursday night entertainment evening which is held each week. Last night there was a jazz guitarist playing who was amazing. The dinner was a set menu, the main course being a huge quantity of muscles which were cooked in a great tasting sauce, this was served with potato chips. Desert was a small serve of strawberries and cream, all up it was a great meal. We all had a fantastic night out. The waitress was a loverly young girl who could not have been all that old but had the nicest calmest manner I have seen.

We came in for lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon and sat outside in the courtyard which was very pleasant. We found the service was good and waiters looked after us, but got the drinks order slightly wrong bringing a smaller wine measure than ordered but noting the original order luckily we were able to correct this later as you pay at the bar. The portion sizes were generous, duck dish was excellent as were the burgers, the pizza we ordered was under cooked needed more time in oven. So in summary it’s worth a visit had the food been spot on would have been a 4 star place.

Busy on arrival so we had to eat inside. We later found out that it was the only eaterie open on a Monday but we all enjoyed our 16€ 3 course meal deal. Giles, our waiter and most helpful host for the evening, was brilliant. The food was all homemade so congratulations were in order to the chef. The goose giźzards, which I had never had before were something quite special and different. Giles spent some time advising us of the best places to visit whilst in the area. What a lovely man he was. Would recommend and go back again.
