On May 13th had dinner at La Recré. Given the nice weather and because we had made a reservation we were seated on the terrace in front of the restaurant. This was nice. Service during dinner was good and the chef himself came along to...take the order and to check after the dinner that everything had been to our satisfaction. The starters were nice. The main plates (cod fish in a mediterranean preparation) were very nice. All in all a good meal.
We tried this restaurant after recommandation of a delivery organic pizza shop near this restaurant. And it was a great discovery. Pros: -Service was great (with a smile -Food was very well presented -Ingrédients were very fresh -Hamburger had some local meat (one that is...so tender that you 'll fall in love after eating it : -Pizza were good -Dessert (Profiteroles with goat cheese ice cream from Terre Adelice and great blackberry
it is located near to Piet Huyssentruyt. But we better should say Piet Huyessantruyt is located near to La récré. The 'maître ' was superb. And the food succulent good ... local products with knowlegde of coocking. we stayed 2 weeks close to les vans and...we couldn 't resist to visit the place more then 7 times . every visit to another restaurant was black to white. thanks for heaven...
So I mean that the food at the price level was excellent, which is very attractive (in our opinion). We were reserved late a day and had a place in the restaurant. The terrace looked like. Yes, there are other things to eat at La Récré and those dishes are good as well but I always have the pizza, Too bad that they don't do take-out.

We enjoyed a good glass of wine and an excellent pizza in this cute place in Les Vans. Make sure to make a reservation for the terrace!
Limited menu, although what is served is excellent. How can fish and ships be so good and demanding. And really good service/value. Book a table now
