After making a reservation weeks in advance and receiving a confirmation, when we arrived at the restaurant for our special birthday reservation, there was a sign in the window that said they were closed for vacation. This is completely unacceptable for any patrons but even more so for international travelers who place our trust in Open Table to provide a confirmed reservation well in advance. Fortunately Mario’s in the next block felt sorry for us and shifted tables around to accommodate us. Their food was delicious and the restaurant was lovely. I highly recommend Mario’s.
