I enjoyed the atmosphere at La Rumba, the friendly staff, and the quick service. The Mexican rice, however, tasted a bit burnt. People come here for the fantastic drinks, and the place has a warm, family-like vibe. The cheese enchiladas were delicious, and the beans were just right in temperature, flavor, and texture. For dessert, I loved the flan topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and a cherry. The hot sauce was mild but tasty. I recommend La Rumba for its atmosphere, drinks, and welcoming staff, but be aware that the food can sometimes be off, with too much salt or a burnt taste. Overall, it was still a good experience.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered the camrones a la diabla, and it was far from what I expected. The shrimp were soaked in buffalo sauce, and the salad looked like it was taken straight from a bag with no additional touches. I also got the bean dip as an appetizer, but it was mostly cheese with perhaps a teaspoon of beans mixed in. I won’t be coming back.
We absolutely love La Rumba! The menu offers fantastic dishes, and the service is excellent. We especially enjoy the carne asada and shrimp. Our servers are always very attentive, and the food is served incredibly fast. In our opinion, La Rumba is the best place to dine in Jennings.
The prices are slightly above average compared to similar restaurants, but the food is exceptional. I highly recommend this place and would rate it a strong 9 out of 10!
