I wanted to try La Sandia because their churros looked delicious, but unfortunately, they were oily and lacked crunch. The inside wasn’t fluffy either. We ordered the guacamole with crab meat; the crab was decent but didn’t complement the guacamole well, and there wasn’t much crab meat—mostly just the flavor. The tacos, especially the chicken tinga ones, were flavorful and filling. The rice and beans were also delicious. Although the portions were on the smaller side, I was still satisfied with the overall experience. La Sandia’s menu offers some tasty options worth trying.
I had a great meal here. They bring chips and salsa to start- big yum! I then had the veggie street tacos as a main since I am a vegetarian. There is only one other vegetarian entree option on the menu, so it would be nice to have a third option. However, Ican't complain too much as the veggie tacos were absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh. I also had the La Sandiamargarita which I found to be refreshing and the perfect pairing with the tacos. I will certainly be back.
La Sandia is excellently located inside the mall. The hanger steak tacos were flavorful and a great choice for a quick bite—they were satisfying without feeling too heavy. The Volcano Molcajete is advertised as a dish for two, but it’s generously portioned enough to share among three people. Everything included complemented each other perfectly, and every item was delicious. The menu at La Sandia offers great options, and I have no complaints—I’ll definitely be returning.
La Sandia is undoubtedly the best Mexican restaurant we've been to. The food is delicious and the service excellent. We tried the Jalisco enchiladas and shrimp tacos, paired with a margarita and mango lemonade. The fried plantains and sweet rice served with the enchiladas were incredibly tasty. The complimentary chips and salsa were so good that I asked our server for extra salsa. Overall, a fantastic experience with a diverse and flavorful menu.
