We found La Table on the recommendation of our Airbnb hostess, and it was one of the two places near Demuin open for dinner on a Sunday, which we knew would be a challenge. Nice decor and cool inside, after a 30+ degree day. We had terrine, which was lovely then pasta and the steak, which I ordered as medium-rare but it was barely even warm, the inside was a deep deep blue-red. I asked for it to be cooked a little more, and it returned a tad warmer, but still 'blue-red '. I didn 't like to chance sending it back again (perhaps this is how they do medium-rare in Corbie). Can;t understand a previous review about the welcome. We booked 24hrs ahead for a party of 8, warmly welcomed, service was super attentive, never a problem and prompt and courteous at all times. The choice of set menus was varied and offered plenty of choices for all including one vegetarian in our party. The wine list equally so. had a great night, and would heartily recommend you try it out and make your own assessment.

I stopped in Corbie for lunch after driving through on the way to Villers-Bretenneux and noticing some interesting buildings. I liked what I saw on the menu posted outside this busy restaurant so I decided to eat here. I had the Magret de Canard which was very good. A bit different preparation than what I am accustomed to in Provence where honey is used.

We ate at this small restaurant because it was recommended by our hosts at Le Macassar and it was brilliant. Full of locals and serving some of the most delicious fresh french food you can find. Give it a go.
