After reading many Trip advisor reviews on local resturants and places to eat, we decided on La Table Du Beffroi in Bolougne old town. With a few emails it was booked and Thomas was aware that one of our members has a bad Gluten intolerance ... no problem we can cater for this was the reply we wanted. Pas top même pour 1 restauration rapide, le tartare était bon mais le potjevleesch pas terrible, la gelée pas prise et toute molle n'avait aucun goût ainsi que les soit disant 3 viandes qui composaient ce plat bien difficile à reconnaître, quant aux frittes, elles n'étaient pas cuites ! La serveuse bien trop courte vêtue, avec le vent qui soufflait fort on craignait le pire...
simple setting, friendly atmosphere, you feel good. the chef is in the kitchen in his small open kitchen and respects the waitress who managed the service very well on Sunday noon. It's very good, it's fresh and qq dishes offered on a slate cooked to taste, and very affordable prices (only dishes and desserts), 50€ to 2, apéro, dish, dessert, bottle of water and coffee.
Congratulations to the couple who, alone, manages to do a whole job that would deserve staff to help them in their task. but, despite the job offers, no candidate presents himself, poor france. the reception is very pleasant, the dishes are fresh and homemade and the ratio quality price is excellent. The hosts were extreemly friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent and the food was superb, and plenty of it. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definately be coming here again.
I do not know if the food is good in here or not. Our encounter with a rude waitress who ignored us sitting at an uncleared table was enough to make us leave. No menu, no drinks nothing.
