as we had booked to stay in the hotel, and as the hotel seemed easy to be isolated, it seemed sensible to book our dinner here. the dining room was in a pleasant enough location. the workers we found almost tried too hard for...to shy to fit the style of resurrection, but they were attentive. we can remember the meal very well because we were not sure if the chef tried to challenge us with unexpected food combinations or experiment with what if I mixed a with b. we had 3 amuses bouches only the last, pre-dessert, which we could describe as good quality and very tasty. My wife and I paid a visit for Sunday lunch. We reserved a table on the terrace with a view of the gardens and lakes. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. We chose the menu de jour (32 euros) with 3 choices for each course...and were very impressed with the standard and presentation of the food . The service was impeccable and courteous. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We will be returning regularly.
Yesterday went with friends for Monday lunch. Often not possible in the area and if available may not be not of the best. Here, staff were very helpful, friendly but unobtrusive if that's what you want but easy to attract attention if you wanted...to. Food the best we've had in a restaurant for a long time. Setting is beautiful. I'm with Eugene W's post..........why no star?
We could not have lunch due to not having booked. They didnt have time for more guests was the explanation. Plenty of free tables though. We were offered to order from the snack menu and we ordered croque monsiur. What we got was a terrible...white bread dry thing. They wanted 12 euro for the ”sandwich”.
