By the time we arrived in La Turbie, after hiking in from Eze, we were famished. We walked in at 7:00 pm and knew, right away, we had made the right choice. The hostess (husband is the chef, wife is the hostess/waitress) sat us immediately and although her English is not perfect it was easy to understand and much better then our French. I started with a very good salad Nicoise and followed that with a delicious penne in tomato sauce with legumes (vegetables). Recommended by our AirBnB host, this restaurant was better than we expected. We went for lunch. The cheese starter had perfectly cooked goats cheese filo parcels. The salmon Tartar tasted very fresh with lemon and herbs to flavour. The sushi, again was fresh and light....The highlight was the truffle pasta dish which was sooooo delicious! The price was very reasonable circa EUR 70 for 2 people including water, cocktail, starters and mains. We found the portions quite large... they could have easily halved them and we would have been sufficiently full at the end. We were too full for dessert although the dessert menu did look tasty!

What a delightfully warm, friendly inexpensive place! The menu, while limited, had exactly the delicious foods we wanted. The gnocci with chevre cream sauce and the tortellini with gorgonzola sauce were the best we have had in a long time! The prices for wine and...meals were low in comparison with nearby Monaco, Eze and Nice! Add to that a delightful, competent, warm server and you have a relaxing, tasty , fun meal. Everyone in the restaurant seemed content, and for good reason. The large portions were such good values and the homemade tiramisu that we split was excellent. We turned up here as it looked busy when we drove through during the day but hadn't booked. We were given a seat outside which is a bit like sitting next to the motorway with constant traffic. I have to say though not unlike lots of other French restaurants. service was prompt and attentive, although the dreaded smokers were out again. The food was very good, although the steak was a bit chewy, which is more the cut than the cooking. Desert was also very good. 72 Euros for two with a beer and two glasses of wine. I would go again but sit inside.
Very few customers. Few plates meaning great attention to quality. A sign indicating that all food is served fresh and never freezed. I had an excellent salmon with a special cream, and they served me also a souffle of cheese and zucchini. My bf ordered...pasta with sausages, not excellent but good. Total 33€, no extra charge, even the water was free. The waitress was very nice and kind. Definitely recommending!
