in contrast to tripadvisor 's note, this restaurant is not closed. we were greeted by the very hard working staff (owners) and had a wonderful lunch among the trees on the terrace. as vulnerable people in the COVID pandemic, we asked for a table, as far away from...other as possible, and that was graciously accommodated. we had the hausburger, who was one of the best I had eaten in France -- in the last 12 years--perfect char, good cheddar, grilled wobble, tasty sauce. So, so good. the recommended rosé, at 22 euro, is a local product, dry, mineral and delicious. but really the best was the personal, maybe the female owner and possibly her man the chef. we had a spirited, real talk about how...
we reserved a table above the phone, we arrived and the waitress / owner sat us, she was very welcoming and very nice. we got very fast drinks and a very nice crostini and olive appetizer. the main course of the duck, was a huge fried duck...breast and some deep fried keile underboiled, plus a side of ratatouille, all very oily and no arome, the fish was pan fried identical, oily, undercouped glassy kartoffel wedge, tasteless ratatouille, my sonny steak was ok, but the rest was the same. I think if the chef can move away from the deep frit, then could something improve here?
Nous habitons Cotignac depuis plusieurs années et avons déjeuner ou diner dans tous les restaurants de Cotignac.La TERRASSE est le MEILLEUR et le plus régulier toute l'année.Dernière visite aujourd'hui 15 Aout 2017, absolument parfait jusqu’à l'addition.Ce restaurant reste le secret le mieux gardé, en retrait du Cour et de la foule d'été, en couple ou entre amis. Produit frais locaux, même les figues proviennent des figuiers de la TERRASSE
Cadre très agréable, service aux petits soins. Cuisine TRES copieuse et savoureuse. Seuls bémols, les vins un peu moyens et les chaises en plastique. Un mobilier de plus belle qualité (chaises métalliques) mettrait en valeur le restaurant, améliorerait le confort et s'accorderait à merveille avec l'ambiance "cinéma". Je conseille tout de même vivement ce restaurant, pour des sorties en famille et/ou entre amis !

We ate here with friends having heard that the new owners had improved things dramatically. Well, they certainly have. Excellent food, very friendly staff and reasonably priced wine. Our only critique would be that perhaps the portions are too large. If they keep up these...standards then this will certainly be our restaurant of choice in Cotignac.
Accueil plus que froid, avec l'impression de déranger.Nous avons commandé 2 salades, composées de miettes de thon, olives infectes et poivrons et oignons coupés grossièrement ne valant certainement pas les 13€ et 14€ payés .Nous n'avons même pas pris de café, nous avons fuis.A éviter.
Restaurant très correct. Une cuisine qui a l'air d'utiliser des produits frais.L'accueil est sympathique.Le seul petit bémol pour les gens qui habitent dans le coin : la carte est pratiquement la même depuis des années.Son plus : la terrasse, très agréable et aérée.A ne pas éviter !
We came across this restaurant at lunchtime on a cold rainy day. The wait staff were very friendly and we ordered a number of different dishes from delicious tomato soup to a chicken curry. The food was excellent and we can certainly recommend this restaurant.

On y a bien mangé et le cadre est très sympa . Copieux et bon. L'extérieur ne paye pas de mine mais au fond se trouve les escaliers qui donnent sur une terrasse très jolie et fleurie.
