If you are looking for a gastronomic treat, an authentic and yet inspiring kitchen, an unforgettable culinary experience and an outstanding, professional and genuine service, this is the place to be! I can strongly advise every foodie to get off the beaten path and come to the small town of Saint Severin, about 45 km south of Angouleme, to discover this gem. Whatever’s on the menu is simply delicious and shows the passion and skill of chef Katharina. You could describe the food as Sicilian with a fusion twist, just like the husband, Alessio (also Sicilian with a twist ; , sparing no effort to make you feel welcome, who manages to create a relaxing ambiance. Absolutely Delicious visited La Trattoria with me friend, who lives locally, the menu is a set price with two or three options, and is 3 courses. The welcome was very friendly, a lovely little place with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious. Simple, elegant, very well presented and full of flavour. The Moscow Mule with fresh ginger was also delicious. Book in advance as they don’t open every day but book and enjoy
If I could give more stars I would. Perfect, cosy little Italian restaurant. Beautiful, tasty food, interesting cocktails and good Italian wines. The quality of everything for the price is amazing. Service with a smile and a laugh. Grazie. x
Great menu changes regular and the food is excellent would recommend it to all. The front of house Alexi is great he is very entertaining and the women all adore him.
