Very poor admin/door staff. My wife and I arrived around 8.45 on Saturday evening and were refused admission by the door man on the grounds that the pub was full. His English language wasn 't so good. There were people having a smoke outside who told us that it wasn 't full inside. We could actually see inside and it wasn 't full. I thought he was joking! It 's not as if we are undesirables. I am a 65 year old respectable businessman. He didn 't even ask us to wait until someone left the pub. We turned around and walked away, but as we looked back, we could see people leaving. We thought about going back but had been so upset by the doorman 's attitude that we di dn 't want to spend money at...
We went to Chatterleys for breakfast to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. They had reserved a table for 20 of us and the food orders came out quickly, all together and hot. There was some ongoing repair work, which they apologized for, but the two servers were excellent. We had a wonderful time. Despite mixed reviews in the past, this time they exceeded expectations. 5 stars.
We live in Eastwood. 66 years. Had a meal here. My wife said hers was ****. Cold, not as described. Awful. Mine, mixed grill. 11 chips. Cold peas. Used to have breakfast here but always cold. Been to Wetherpoons this year in York, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Each meal was great. Would go again. Advice. Avoid this place for food except for cheap drinks. Never again.
The food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant are excellent. Even though I am not a local, I have visited this establishment many times and have always had a great experience. Staff are surly and disorganised. Management is none existent, surly staff that have no direction. The lovely atmosphere of the last year as been completely changed. The food was cold and inedible, the pub was dirty and not one table looked like it had been cleaned . Certainly won’t be returning. Wouldn’t even give it 1 star
Went in for breakfast on 31 December 2022, my partner had been ill and wanted some soft fluffy scrambled eggs. When they arrived on the toast, they were barely warm and rubbery. Inedible, basically. When she took them back and asked for a replacement, the girl serving said 'That 's how they come '. We won 't be back again.
I have to say your server Libby was absolutely fantastic she worked so hard delivering the meals to tables on a very busy night this girl went above and beyond in her customer service and is an asset to this establishment well done Libby ur a star keep smiling xxxxx
